J W Doster & J W Brawley
J. W. Doster, later a partner with J. T. Harris, and J. W. Brawley operated a mill in the county. In May 1906, Doster mortgaged to W T Adams for $5336 a boiler, an engine, an Adams #3 sawmill with two head blocks, a dog & set works, and a circular saw. The next month, Doster & Co mortgaged all its cut to B. A. Barnes. In September, Doster mortgaged to B A Barnes a tubular boiler, an engine, the Adams sawmill, and an Henderson 3-saw edger. On January 25, 1907, Doster & Brawley mortgaged their one-half undivided interest in the lumber stacked on their yard to Farmers Bank.
This mill may have evolved into the Doster & Harris mill.
