Jack Goodwin and Sam Peters
According to the History of Shelby County, Texas, Jack Goodwin and Sam Peters, his brother-in-law, in 1904 opened a sawmill and planing mill along the Tenaha Creek between the Shelbyville Bridge and Center. Goodwin later sold out and went to work for Tol T Smith, running the latter's planing mill.
