Owens & King
Southern Industrial and Lumber Review reported that this mill was manufacturing 20,000 feet daily in 1906. Owens and Whitton probably bought out Wilkins' mortgage on his machinery, for in February 1907, they mortgaged to Wilkins for his boiler (“known as the Will Glenn boiler”), other equipment, all belonging “to the sawmill now owned by S. L. Wilkins.” By the next year Owens had a partner by the name of King, who may have been Sebe King, running a sawmill in Kilgore in 1906.
