A. Gammill had a sawmill business in Timpson during the early 1940s. He sold it to R. E. Rawls in 1944. The property included a 4-inch by 15-inch planer, a cutoff saw, an Ajax engine, a 60-horsepower electric motor, a trimmer, a saw, a boiler, five buggies, a 1941 Chevrolet truck, for $1 and “other valuable considerations.”
