R. T. Blair Lumber Company

The Galveston Daily News reported on January 1, 1900, that the R. T. Blair Lumber Company, also known as the Bobo Lumber Company, was cutting 20,000 feet daily at a sawmill site between Tenaha and Timpson on the HEWT. The site is known as Meldrum but has also been called Bobo and Gallagher at various times. It is located northeast of the railroad and Highway 2667. The sawmill town was known as Blair. Webb in the Handbook of Texas notes that the community had once been named for a “local mill owner named” Bobo.
