According to the Southern Industrial and Lumber Review, Justice of the Peace Pivito and Constable Carpenter, both of Liberty County, resigned their positions and bought a sawmill, located eight miles east of Sour Lake at Westberry. The mill is along the line of the Beaumont, Sour Lake & Western.
