Joseph William Ogburn Lumber Co had a sawmill south of Winnsboro, according to "This Everlasting Sand Bed": Cultural Resources Investigations at the Texas Big Sandy Project, Wood and Upshur Counties, Texas. It operated from about 1915 to the later 1920s. Arch Moore bought the mill and moved it to the south of Hawkins.
