Will Green
W. D. Green, known as Will, operated sawmills throughout Upshur County for years before settling down in Big Sandy in 1932 on Pearl Street. Bullock & Green were listed as sawmilling at Big Sandy in 1934. In 1934 he built a larger mill at the north end of town. The W. D. Green Lumber Company lost its planer in a fire at Big Sandy on September 2, 1949, according to The Gulf Coast Lumberman.
His firm was still being listed in trade publications in 1957 at Big Sandy.
