Dedman-Williams Lumber Company

Dedman & Williams Lumber Company was the only lumber mill at Elmer in 1934.. Five others had gone out of business by then. Later Nacogdoches County records reveal that these men were J. L. Dedman and Buck Williams. The name “Dedman” is misspelled as “Denman” in some documents.
Denman Lumber Company had a planing mill in 1928 at Gilmer and a sawmill at Pittsburg. Denman Lumber appeared on the Accounts Receivables (December 31, 1929) for Texas Fence Company.
