The G. A. Gunstream sawmill, according to "This Everlasting Sand Bed": Cultural Resources Investigations at the Texas Big Sandy Project, Wood and Upshur Counties, Texas, was a classic example of a “peckerwood mill.” The sawmill, boiler, blacksmithing tools, and engine were portable.
