J. L. Goodwin.
In 1907 A. L. Beene owned and operated a sawmill on the old C. P. Graves homestead in Upshur County. That year Beene contracted with J. L. and T. E. Goodwin to have the latter log and supply his mill with sawtimber. Goodwin apparently took over the mill from Beene, for on 22 December 1906 Charlie Graves contracted to continue the lease on his sawmill located on his land, about seven miles northeast of Gilmer until 1 January 1913.
