Yother & Gibson Lumber Company appeared in the 1907 listing of the Reference Book of the Lumbermen's Credit Association, January 1907 as a planing mill. It had become the Winnsboro Lumber Company with T. J. Gibson as president by 1917, according to the Wood County records, which noted that T. J. Gibson was the president of the Winnsboro Lumber Company in 1917. The plant was located on a plot bounded by Elm and Front streets. The plant consisted of a sawmill and planing mill. Machinery was steam powered.
