Bernard Brown (Braun)
Bernard Brown operated a lumber mill at New Waverly in 1907. He also owned the Montgomery County Lumber Company at Willis.
E. K. Dillingham, president of Pine Grove Lumber Company and trustee for this sawmill, sold it to Bernard Brown on October 5, 1907. It was located on property leased from John Traylor. Equipment included a planer knife grinder, a filing vise, an emory stand, a knife balancer, a bench vise, a cutoff saw, a Berlin #52 double surfacer-matcher, six dollies, trucks one blower, a Houston Stanfield Gamble steam engine, a blower pipe, a boiler, a lumber shed for dressed lumber, various wooden buildings, and all dollyways.
