M. Robbins

M. Robbins, enumerated, in the 1870 Census, probably located his sawmill near Huntsville, before the coming of the railroad. This sawmill operation, according to the 1870 Census Products of Industry Schedule, was d to be a capital investment of $2,000. Investments in raw materials included $500 in pine logs and $350 in files, oil, etc. Four men were paid $1,000 for six months of operations. The sawmill manufactured 200,000 feet of lumber valued at $4,500.
