Nacogdoches Lumber Company

Nacogdoches Lumber Company operated a sawmill at Huntsville in 1947, which belonged to W. H. Phillips and E. A. Draper. Phillips sold out to Draper on September 16, 1947, for $10. Draper bought all timber owned in Polk and Tyler counties, all lumber at the yard, one #94 Yates American planer, one GM twin Diesel power unit, one double-end trimmer, one resaw, one Cunningham “Baby Grand” sawmill with a six inch shotgun feed, a trimmer, a slab conveyor and green chain, one dry kiln, one planer shed, one dry shed, one repair shop, on 32-ft Nabors trailer, office, office equipment, supplies, five horses and mules, two log trucks, one log crew bus, two tractors, fourteen wagons, two pole trailors, eleven tenant houses, and one commissary.
