Southern Pine and Cypress Company
Southern Pine and Cypress Company was a Houston-based business with mills at Willis, Montgomery County; Baldwin, Polk County; New Waverly, Walker County; and Houston, Harris County. No mills at New Waverly appeared in a 1906 listing of sawmills. Texas Lumber Company bought Southern Pine and Cypress Company in May 1906 and moved the company office from Houston to Conroe.
