S. B. Blackman
S. B. Blackman operated a sawmill and a planer about ten miles north of Crockett in 1930, according to Houston County records. In that year, he sold, for $235, to W. V. Langham his “entire sawmill known as the Blackman sawmill situated 10 miles north of Crockett in Houston County, property to remain in possession of S. B. Blackman as long as he operates mill on a commission basis to be 50% split of net profits of mill and planer.”
Blackmon [sic] was noted as sawmilling at Grapeland in 1934 by the Lumbermen's Credit Rating Book, October 1934.
Langham sold back his interest to Blackman in 1936.
