G. C. Holston

The G. C. Holston Lumber Company of Longview was sawmilling at Louetta in 1921, according to the American Lumberman. The capacity of the mill was 35,000 feet daily. Logging was done with a “truck railroad” that could make six trips a day to the mill from the woods, carrying 3,500 to 4,000 feet of rough lumber per load.
G. C. Holston was still operating a circular sawmill and planing mill at Longview in 1928, according to the Southern Lumberman.
