Cavin Lumber Company
According to the Handbook of Texas, citing Alice Gray Upchurch, the Cavin Lumber Company was operating a sawmill at Zeirath in Jasper County about 1925. The Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe built a station to serve the lumber company. Population reached 150 by 1928. When the timber was cut out, the sawmill closed.
