Monroe Carroll

American Lumberman reported in January 1899 that the Enloe shingle mill construction in Jefferson County was proceeding “nicely.” Enloe, probably the George Enloe who built a mill at Sour Lake several years later, is again mentioned as a manager of a Beaumont mill shingle in 1899. A later report notes that Albert Seale sold the “Enloe” shingle mill to Monroe Carroll.
