Strapnac’s work notes that the C. Bender & Sons operation at Humble, Texas, bought at least five locomotives during a period from 1883 to 1919. The first two were narrow gauge and the others probably standard gauge. Keeling lists that Bender & Sons at Humble operated six locomotives, two geared and four rod, on a narrow gauge wooden-railed tram road.
