Industrial Lumber Company Tram

American Lumberman noted in March 1906 that Industrial Lumber Company operated a large tram road, probably referring to its Helbig operation in Jefferson County. Its route was probably in Jefferson County to points in Louisiana.

The Industrial Lumber Company was mentioned in American Lumberman in February 1906: The Industrial Lumber Company is to take a short cut to get a new mill in operation on the DeRidder-Oakdale extenstion of the Jasper & Eastern, which would have confirmed the lumber company’s interstate operations in both Texas and Louisiana. The railroad serviced points in Newton County, with one link at Bleakwood with the Orange & Northwestern.
