J. J. Bonner Timber Co, primarily a logging operation, had small sawmills at Diboll and LaNana Station near the turn of the century. It bought the Joe Adone sawmill outfit at LaNana Station in 1900, which had a small tram of three-quarter miles in length.

In 1900, the company was supplying sawlogs over its tram to the Pine Island Lumber Company and the Clawson Lumber Company, both of Angelina County, west of Lufkin.
