Morgan Brothers
T. C. and J. H. Morgan of Hunt County mortgaged various lands plus their sawmill and planing mill in 1884. The mills were located about one-half mile southwest of Big Sandy, between the Cotton Belt and the Texas & Pacific tracks. The mills were steam powered. Morgan Brothers provided tenant housing, owned fifty-two work oxen. They operated seven miles of tram road with a shay engine, a box car, thirteen log cars. Two hand cars. A mule and two wagons.
