Allen contracted to move the mill to Texas.
According to the Southern Industrial & Lumber Review, the Trawick sawmill firm of J. H. Summers & Sons has moved to open a new mill at Dodge in Walker County. The company had cut out its timber near Trawick and was dismantling the 50,000-foot mill, which should be in operation by March. The plant consists of a sawmill, planing mill, dry kilns, and sheds. A tram road is to be built from Dodge into the pineries and hardwood stands the company owns in Walker County.
